POST 39 BASEBALL PROGRAM INFORMATION:
AGES: American Legion Baseball is a nationwide, 19u amateur baseball league. You may not turn 19 before January 1 of last year. Roster are typically comprised of high-level high school varsity/upperclassmen players, and rising college sophomore players.
AREA: Post 39 is able to choose players from Pitt, Craven, Martin, Edgecombe, Beaufort, and other surrounding counties. If you have a question if you are eligible to tryout for our team, please contact us.
ROSTER SIZE: We may take as many players as desired early in the season. Per American Legion rules, once we play our first "conference" game, we will lock into our FINAL 18-man roster for the remainder of the summer.
TRAVEL BALL: Per American Legion rules, a player is not allowed to "dual participate" once the playoffs begin (July 1). The only showcase/event that is accepted is annual NC State Games tournament. Typically, the Post 39 roster will not be comprised of dual-participants.

COMPETITION: Players will play college caliber baseball during the summer. Many players on opposing rosters are current freshman college players, or have already committed to play college baseball for the upcoming year as graduated seniors.
Number of Games/Innings: We will have 24-30 Regular season games scheduled for 2022, plus post season play!. Each game is 7 innings. There are plenty of innings and opportunities for players (especially pitchers!) to develop over the summer.
Facilities: Post 39 plays their home games South Central High School
Showcases/Tournaments: Post 39 has been blessed to be a part of a National American Legion Tournaments in years past. We are always looking forward to taking our players on road trips in order to strength team chemistry, and enhance their summer baseball experience. These are also great opportunities for college baseball exposure!
COLLEGE BASEBALL OPPORTUNITIES: There are plenty of opportunities to be “seen” in American Legion. College coaches go to American Legion games! Some even coach the opposing teams. Since 2016, over 90% of our roster has gone on to play college baseball! Many have came to our team as "uncommitted" players, and were helped to find a college baseball home via our Post 39 Baseball Program.
TRADITION! : WE have created a outstanding winning culture within our program, and within our community. Come be a part of it!
